About Word of Mouth

Word of Mouth is a one hour magazine program that highlights new and emerging trends in pop culture, science, technology, and the arts.

Hosted by Virginia Prescott, Word of Mouth covers under-reported stories, discovers hidden twists in familiar stories and the news of the day, and gives a voice to people on the leading edge of new ideas. Each program features a number of unique segments, including interviews with journalists, authors, musicians, and professionals in a variety of fields.

In addition to interviews, field pieces, and curated content, Word of Mouth highlights branded segments, including "Here's What's Awesome," a light-hearted look at viral trends and memes, and analysis of what they reflect about our culture, social media, and other aspects of our always-evolving, hyper-connected world.

Word of Mouth is a compelling hour of radio, a lens through which listeners will discover ideas they won't find anywhere else, or the place they will hear them first.

Word of Mouth is a production of  New Hampshire Public Radio.
